Fostering Community

2023

In 2023 the Elkins family founded the PKU Hope Foundation. The Foundation was created to support multiple organizations and invest in diversified strategies designed to improve the lives of individuals with PKU.

The tremendous partnership with Jack and Barbara and the entire team at the Nicklaus Children’s Healthcare Foundation continued with the newly formed PKU Hope Foundation.

The 2023 Creighton Farms Invitational set another fundraising record, raising more than $2 million.

2018-2022

The event continued to grow, setting new fundraising
records again in 2018 ($1.2 million), 2019 ($1.3 million), 2021 ($1.4 million) and 2022 ($1.7 million).

The event continues to be emceed by Charlie Rymer, and the highlight of each year’s gala continues to be the fireside chat with Jack Nicklaus. Auction items include exciting trips with private airfare, golf escapes to Scotland, VIP passes to the Memorial Golf Tournament and other unique experiences with the Nicklaus family. Proceeds benefited the NCHCF and the National PKU Alliance.

2017

In 2017, we were blessed to have the opportunity to partner with Jack and Barbara Nicklaus and their amazing team at the Nicklaus Children’s Healthcare Foundation (NCHCF). Together we organized the Creighton Farms Invitational, hosted by Jack Nicklaus, and raised an astounding $1.1 million. The event featured a fireside chat with Jack Nicklaus, and golfers again had the opportunity to play with PGA tour players. Celebrities Roy Williams and Roger Clemens were both in attendance.

The 2017 event set a new fundraising record.

2016

The Elkins family had a vision to create a special event, centered around golf to raise awareness and critical funding to improve the lives of individuals with PKU. The first event (“Driving for a Cure for PKU”) featured a Sunday evening gala with emcee Charlie Rymer followed by golf on Monday. Each foursome played alongside a PGA tour player for a very special experience at Creighton Farms.

The event raised more than $200 thousand.
